Pendo Bajaji

Pendo Bajaji will be a business which aims to provide safe, reliable and affordable transport in Kilimanjaro region and East Africa in the near future. The Bajaji service is mainly provided by men and Pendo would like to provide a platform to support women as they enter a male dominated industry. This will ensure a new avenue for women to earn an income to provide for their families. Pendo bajajis will provide a service for women customers or occasionally men accompanied by a woman and these bajajis will be driven by female drivers. We want to ensure safety to our drivers and also our customers at large due to the fact that insecurity have been a major concern to most of travellers.

 

This business idea came in 2014 after realizing growing of insecurity of many girls/women when using transport (theft, rape etc.). i.e. taxi, bajajis and bodabodas. So after giving it much consideration we thought that something can be done to solve that problem, that it is possible to have a girls/women bajaji service.

 

We are looking for investors/sponsors who would like to be part of this exciting venture. This form of sponsorship could open opportunities for businesses to advertise in Africa or purely as a way to support women as they build their own business.
