Lego "STEAM" Project
It has been proven that children can learn about science, technology and engineering through various forms of play. STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) is the umbrella under which many career paths can be found.
Thanks for donations from the playrooms of Georgetown, Ontario Canada, some fortunate children in Africa are able to do just that.
Lego bricks were collected and delivered to the children who immediately began creating and exploring. Long held stereotypes often seen boys going into more science related fields, Lego encourages a fun accessible element to STEAM subjects, to tackle the barriers of gender.
Pendo Project was happy to enhance the education experience for these children and would like to encourage all us to learn through play!
